Wishing all our wonderful FEBS PEEPS a very Spooktakular Halloween!
Hi everyone, we are hoping to get some of the great volunteers back and maybe some that could not make the first event back out to help finish the large 80 foot macaw flight, plant more flowers and work on another flight cage. We would like to put this event together the weekend of November 22nd and 23rd. If you can work either or both days or just a few hours we would be greatly appreciative. Again we will serve lunch and provide drinks. There is also some available space for staying overnight on the property. Please RSVP to Pat ASAP so we can get everything ready and organized. Thank you again for all you do for these wonderful birds!
This weeks blog is so meaningful because it is a major step towards the building of FEBS new Sanctuary in Hudson! As you may know from the latest blogs we had one of our dedicated sponsors offer up 5 thousand dollars in a matching funds program. Those matching funds were met and so that 5 thousand turned into 10 thousand dollars for the birds!!! We welcome anyone that is interested in helping do the same matching fund, and certainly realize you can make any amount a event to match!
We want to personally thank the people that gave up their weekend and came out to work so hard to help us erect three major projects: an 80x30x20 Macaw flight, a 40 foot cockatoo/conure flight and the enclosed area that is 42×15 that will house some smaller cages.
Our special thanks go out to Peg & Ron, Jennifer & Andy, Bob M., Kathie, Allen, Judy, Morris, Billy L, Joe, Melissa, Billy S., Joy, Linda, Dani, Maddie, Steff, Craig & sons, Beverly & Michael, Hunter & Melanie and of course Bob & Sherryl for showing up and helping with all of the projects!
We are planing another building event in late November to finish enclosing the cages! If anyone is available we would certainly love to hear from you!
